Important lesson learned!

I had no idea that when you get a block bored for new Pistons, you have to scrub the crap out of it to remove all the residue from the cylinder bores before you assemble the motor. If you don't do this obviously important step, you destroy the brand new rings you just installed. So, that's what I did, destroyed my new rings! While it runs fine, it is blowing oil past the rings and burning it up in the exhaust, making a mess of things and blasting white smoke all over...
So, due to my profound lack of this info, I am in the midst of tearing down the engine and ordering another set of rings. 
At least it looks amazing in it's shiny coat of primer...
